The frontend contains AES-GCM operations for Forum content. Forum is a different use case from a private one-to-one message, so its key lifecycle and moderation model should be documented separately.

What the encrypted forum is for
The Forum provides structured sections, threads, posts and reactions for longer-form community discussion. Supported content fields are protected in the application rather than being treated as ordinary public plaintext.
Privacy is not the same as moderation
Encryption protects content from unauthorised disclosure within the technical model; it does not remove the need for community rules, abuse handling and responsible moderation. Public or community features also create a different privacy model from a one-to-one private conversation.
Participating safely
- Do not publish secrets merely because a forum is encrypted.
- Share only the personal information needed for the discussion.
- Remember that other participants can copy or redistribute what they see.
- Report abuse through the available service route rather than attempting to retaliate.
